If you're like me, and have a deep desire to improve your ability to
connect and influence an audience, perhaps a short concise workshop series is
what you're looking for. My workshops are specifically designed to take you
through a 3 week (2 hours per week) process that will enhance your
communication abilities and presentation skills.
Whether you are a seasoned
speaker, a technology presenter, or a non native English speaker with a desire
to become brilliant on the podium. These workshops will be available several
times in 2015. Engage with me to be notified of the upcoming dates, times and
location.
This workshop is designed for presenters and aspiring speakers with a
desire to become brilliant. I crafted this workshop with the intent of
answering the many questions I have received from various coaching clients over
the years. We look at the many facets of public speaking and dive into the
psychology of your audience in order to elevate your ability to connect with
your audience.

the following:

Hitting Humor

Story Selling
Not your everyday storytelling, but a non-sales approach to persuasive discovery and presenting.
You just experienced a spectacular movie. As you and your friends exit
the theater, all you talk about is the movie. The movie connected with you.
Now
think of the last technical presentation you delivered. Did your audience leave
with that same connected feeling? If they didn't, perhaps a workshop specifically designed to
elevate your presentation to that spectacularly connected level is in
order.
Every presentation should leave
the audience with a connected feeling and an understanding of the content at a
very basic level. After years of coaching good technical presenters, I have
come to understand some of the shortcomings of today's technical presenter.
This workshop is a guide to brilliant technical presentations and consists of
learning and understanding the following:
Technical Elements of Communication
The relationship between content and delivery, the content conundrum
Transactional Analysis
The emotional decision making process that occurs from a talk or engagement.
Sincerity and Micro Expressions
The insignificant factors that make a big difference
Power Point and other visual aids
The power in having your visual aids be your assistant, not your master.
Content & Collateral Construction
The best way to structure a conversation or talk for a desired outcome.
Comfort vs Confidence
How you appear on stage. Confidence is not your friend.
Hitting Humor
Uncovering humor by dicing an event or story for engagement.
Voice, Vocabulary and Vernacular
How to be concise in your approach to an idea.
I have worked extensively with presenters that feel their native language is an obstacle when presenting to an English speaking audience. I personally feel a presenter with a foreign accent is an exotic addition to a well crafted talk, in as long as the presenter is articulate and presents their content with passion and an understanding of the elements of communication. I crafted this series for the presenter that may have a language articulation challenge and desires to improve on their delivery. This workshops consists of learning and understanding the following:
Elements of Communication
The relationship between content and delivery, the content conundrum
Articulation, Elocution, and Diction
Overcoming the language and cultural communication challenge
Transactional Analysis
The emotional decision making process that occurs from a talk or engagement.
Sincerity and Micro Messaging
The insignificant factors that make a big difference.
Comfort vs Confidence
How you appear on stage. Confidence is not your friend.
Hitting Humor
How to uncover humor by dicing an event or story for engagement.
Voice, Vocabulary and Vernacular
How to be concise in your approach to an idea.
